Thermostat Temperatures and Holiday Parties
As your house fills with friends and family during the holiday season, you are going to want to consider the thermostat temperature before they come over. You must also consider the extra heat that the preparations are going to add to the home. An oven or stove-top working for 3 to 4 hours can raise the temperature in the house 1 to 2 degrees. Fresh Air would recommend you run the temperature down 5 degrees below your normal temperature at least 2 hours before guests arrive. The extra home visitors and kitchen appliances will make up for this temperature difference. This will prevent you from having to open the windows and freeze out the guests sitting or standing near them.
Have a safe and happy holiday season – from our home to yours!
